Why Sticky Sesame Cauliflower is the Perfect Vegan Dish for a Plant-Based Diet

I've seen many cauliflower-based dishes while scrolling through Pinterest but was never sure that I would actually like them or that I would be able to pull them off to taste as good as they looked in the picture. I decided to try something completely new that I had never attempted to cook before so I decided to finally make a cauliflower-based recipe to see if my family and I would like it. I went with sticky sesame cauliflower because it sounded really yummy at the time. I discovered that, overall, I really like this recipe and would likely make it again. Below are my likes and dislikes of sticky sesame cauliflower.

I loved that this was a very simple recipe to follow. It did not take any crazy cooking skills or long amount of time to make it. I also love that this is a very healthy recipe. I decided to serve the cauliflower with brown rice and quinoa which adds a lot of protein. The cauliflower was dipped in a breading mixture and baked in the oven. The sauce was homemade and was really yummy. I was impressed with this because when I have tried making Asian sauces from scratch before, they never have turned out quite right. Being that I love spice, I was able to customize the sauce to be on the spicier end. The peppers and green onion placed on top added some extra pops of flavor. I was not sure if my family would like it but surprisingly, they loved it. It was delicious and my husband, "C," said it was one of the best meals that I had made yet. My three-year-old son, "A," ate a small portion and seemed to enjoy it. However, he ended up eating the rice and quinoa more than the cauliflower.

Dislikes

My only complaint of this meal would be that the breading on the cauliflower easily fell completely off after it was dipped in the sauce. I am not sure if it was something I did wrong or if that is common with cauliflower-based dishes. If I were to make it again, I probably would make more of the breading mixture so that more of the cauliflower was breaded and then I would probably try spooning the sauce onto the cauliflower as I am about to serve it rather than letting it absorb into the breading.
