What are the best outdoor adventure sports to try this fall?

Fall is a great time to be active outdoors. The weather gets cooler and the leaves turn pretty colors. I'm looking forward to spending a lot more time outside before the weather gets too cold. When I'm moving around, the temperature feels just right without a jacket and the air feels crisp and fresh when it enters my lungs. The sound of the crunchy leaves falling from the trees and flowing in the breeze gives it that fall atmosphere.

Hike

I love going on hikes and they have a different feel to them during different seasons. One hike that I am looking forward to is doing Fifth Water Hot Springs again so I can soak in the warm water while the weather is a little cooler. I may do some hikes to some other waterfalls too. I enjoy spending time in the mountains in the fall because that is where the leaves first start to change color. It gets me in the fall spirit before the seasons change in the valley.

Go for a Bike Ride

My husband, C, and I got bikes a few years ago and haven't yet put them to use. Now that our son, A, has gotten pretty good on his balance bike and doing long distances, I plan to pump up the tires and start going on some bike rides this fall. We have a trail near our house that would be perfect for this. I'm excited to start doing family bike rides and see how far we go and have a new family activity that we can do outside together. I know A will enjoy it.

Run to Boost Your Endurance

I'm really looking forward to going on runs while A is at preschool when the weather is cooler. I love running and just struggle when the temperature is too hot. My endurance is something that I am working on because I am training for a marathon and am participating in a half marathon on Thanksgiving. It may seem crazy but I am actually really excited. I've never run a half marathon before but I think it will be a great experience and something that can give me a sense of accomplishment.
