Things I Can't Live Without

There are some things in life that just make it better. In fact, I can't imagine what my life would be like without them. Sometimes I am just going about my day and I think to myself something like "yes! This is what life is about!" Or, sometimes it's more like "this just makes me so happy!" Either way, that's how I know when something makes my life better. Below are some things that I can't live without.

Sunshine

The sun gives my mood such a boost! When it's light outside and it feels like I'm being wrapped into a big warm hug of sunshine, everything seems so much happier. Like nothing can go wrong. The first thing I do when I get out of bed every day is open the curtains. It's an easy way to get my day going, Because when the natural light enters my house, I start cleaning up my house, I am a kinder parent to my son, "A," and I want to spend more time outside.

My Family

My family gives meaning to my life. Being a mother puts me in a position where I try to better myself for the benefit of A. I would do anything to provide the best future possible for him. Besides my responsibility to raise him to be a decent human being, he has the cutest little personality. He always has the funniest things to say, confidence that I'm not sure where he got, and the optimism that everyone you meet is a potential friend. My husband, "C," is my best friend that I figure out life with. He is there to support me when I need it and is someone who I can relate with. When the three of us are together doing something to just be in the moment, I feel so complete.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is one of those things that has so many uses that it's like, what would I do without it? Need lotion? Coconut oil. Lip balm? Coconut oil. Butter for baking? Coconut oil. Plus it adds a sweet taste that is good for baking dessert foods. Deep conditioning your hair? Coconut oil. And that's just some of the ways I've used coconut oil. Treat for your cat? Yes, really. Coconut oil. I actually discovered this when my cat was just a kitten. Every time I used coconut oil as lotion, she became really interested in it and would start meowing. I looked it up and, sure enough, it is safe for cats in small amounts and apparently helps keep their fur healthy.
