My Favorite Vacation Spots

Most people like vacations. I know for me, I love vacations! They are great because I get a break from my regular routine and get to explore some place new. What's also nice? Sometimes if I travel far enough, it makes whatever problems I have going on in my life seem very small and insignificant. There are different types of vacations according to what I need at the time. For example, vacations can be adventurous, relaxing, or fun-filled. They can take place in a city or somewhere out in nature. A vacation can even consist of a combination of these things. While I have only visited each of these locations only once, I did enjoy them enough to keep a place in my memory. Below are my favorite vacation spots.

Glacier National Park

What I liked about Glacier National Park was that it was a nice place to go to enjoy nature, breathe in some fresh clean air, drink refreshing glacier water (directly from the glacier!), and feel the cool air on my skin. It was somewhat adventurous too because we got to ride in a big bus with huge monster truck-sized tires. Overall, it is the perfect place to go if you want a pure and refreshing experience. At the time when I visited Glacier National Park, I was probably around the age of eight, nine, or ten. It would be nice to visit again sometime and experience it as an adult.

London, England

I visited England for my high school graduation trip. When I had pictured going to England, I had expected it to be pretty similar to visiting Canada. Having grown up in the United States, visiting Canada is cool and all but it is very similar to the US. There are small differences here and there, and mostly similarities. However, visiting England was much more different than I had expected. While they still spoke English, it was a slightly different kind of English and I was the one with the accent! The food and candy was slightly different, and many of the buildings were very, very old. What I liked about London was that there was a lot to explore. There was the Tower of London which was very much still intact, the crown jewels were inside, and there was a lot of history to learn about. Besides the Tower of London, there were other old buildings to see, a river that you can take a boat tour on, and several easy ways of transportation. Another great thing? Everything is labeled whether it suitable for vegetarians! It was a trip filled with new adventures.

Walt Disney World

I went to Walt Disney World around the beginning of high school. This was a good vacation for constant entertainment and exploring. What is cool about Walt Disney World is that it is like a few very different parks that are all related. You could visit a different part of the park according to whatever you are in the mood for. Some a good for learning and wandering around, while others were better for going on rides and experiencing the magic of it all. Something that I love about Disney is that their rides are more entertaining because many of them take you through a little story, and almost all of them do not activate my motion sickness because their purpose is not to zip around as fast as possible. With Disney, there are clever details all over the place. And there are things for all ages to enjoy. It really is a great place to go if you want to experience the magic of being a kid again.
