My Aspirations for the Week, Month, and Year

I tend to feel better when I have something that I am working towards achieving. Not necessarily a set goal, but rather something I am hoping to accomplish without all the pressure that comes with a set goal. I am always looking for ways to improve myself, whether they be big or small. Sometimes making small changes towards something that I hope to accomplish can lead to the much bigger change that I had wanted. Below are my aspirations for the week, month, and year.

Week: Healthy Living
This week I have been making efforts to live a little healthier. One way that I have been doing this is playing disc golf with my husband, "C," and my son, "A." This gives us time to bond as a family, get some physical exercise, and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. Also, when I had a couple of days where life became really overwhelming, I allowed myself to let go of my routine and just do what felt needed. I did this by letting myself cry, sleeping in, taking ibuprofen, and not worrying about school. This isn't something that I would say would be beneficial long term, but giving myself some love for two days when I desperately needed it was healthy. Another thing that I did to work towards healthier living was go grocery shopping with my family. We got plenty of things for healthy meals and snacks and left all the tempting junk at the store. When we got home we had some apples and caramel for a treat and salad for dinner.
Month: Wake up at 6am
I have been trying to get myself waking up earlier so that as summer gets closer, I will be up plenty early to get going with the day. I have been waking up at 6am which has not been super easy because I don't usually get to bed until some time after 10pm. Waking up at 6am has been really beneficial though. I have noticed that I am able to get quite a bit of homework done before A wakes up if he sleeps in long enough. I have also been enjoying hearing the birds start chirping outside just before the sun starts to come up. Something that has been really nice though is that I am plenty tired by time I am ready to
go to bed because of having been up for so long.
Year: Achieve A's in my College Courses
For the year, I am really wanting to get to the point of getting A's in my classes. So far, I have not quite gotten any A's. I have been getting A-'s and B+'s, so I am hoping to start bringing up my grades a little higher. My problem has been that I do pretty well on most of my assignments, but sometimes I will have a couple of quizzes that I do terribly on so my grade ends up suffering. I have been able to stay a week or two ahead in my classes, so as long as I am able to maintain that, I am planning to take the time to make sure I thoroughly understand the material before I take the quizzes. It can just be difficult at times because the quizzes are short and it kind of comes down to what few areas of the readings they decided to include questions about.
