Is Rice Water Shampoo Worth the Hype? A Comprehensive Review




When it comes to my hair, I am always interested in trying to products to see what will make it that much better. I'm not one who likes to put a lot of unnatural products in my hair for styling and whatnot. Rather, I stick to a few basics and try to make sure they are good quality. I have heard of bar shampoos and have been interested to try them. I have heard that they are better for the environment as they come in a cardboard box rather than a plastic bottle and that sounded nice to me. I ordered a rice water shampoo bar and decided to give it a try, as I had read that rice water made hair shiny. It was interesting because instead of pumping some into my hand and scrubbing my hair, I had to run the bar over my roots until I had enough to scrub my hair. After that, I rinsed it out like normal.


Likes and Dislikes

I love that the bar shampoo comes in a cardboard box rather than a big plastic bottle. It is also nice that I am not paying for the water that is added to make the shampoo runny when I buy it. I also liked that the shampoo did not have artificial colors so it looked earthy and even had an earthy smell to it too. It was nice that was shaped like an "S" because I ended up buying a bar conditioner from the same brand which is shaped like a "C," so I didn't get them mixed up. After using the shampoo, I immediately noticed a difference in how soft my hair felt. After just a few days, my hair was more shiny. When it comes to dislikes, I really do not know that I have any. It was a great product for a price that was not too bad.


Conclusion

Overall, I love this shampoo. I would definitely buy it again. After having it for just a few days, I let my husband, "C," try it and he ended up keeping it and told me to order a new one for myself. I ordered a new one for myself and I ended up ordering a conditioner from the same brand because I liked it so much. I would recommend this shampoo to anyone who is looking to make their hair more shiny and soft, switch to a more natural shampoo, or make a change that is better for the planet.
