Can't Help Falling: A Review of "Find Me Falling"

Once in a while I take time from being busy to relax and watch a movie. Usually I like a movie with some humor in it because it helps me relax. I picked this movie to watch because it was new to Netflix and is a romantic comedy. It is rated TV-14 and is an hour and thirty-four minutes long. The story is about a formerly popular rockstar that movies to an isolated cliffside house. Though it seemed that he had moved there to retire, his life is not as relaxed as he had thought it would be.

Likes

I liked that this movie did not try too hard with the humor. Some movies feel like they tried to pack too much humor in there and sometimes it feels like a child came up with the funny parts. This movie seemed like it tried to incorporate the humor in a more natural way. While some of the humor was a little dark, I felt like it made it even better because it was not what I had expected when I put the movie on. I always like the little bit of romance, even if it's cheesy, so I liked that too.

Dislikes

I felt like the movie could have been done a little better. Not really sure exactly what it was. It wasn't awful. I could just tell it wasn't one of those movies with a big budget. Something that was not necessarily a dislike for me but more so something to be cautious about is that the topic of suicide is present throughout the movie. If this is something that triggers you, then this probably is not a movie for you.

Conclusion

Overall, I enjoyed the movie. It's something that I would not mind watching again. It definitely did not make my top favorite list, but it was entertaining. I loved the humor and found the love story to be a cute one. The whole movie was one that seemed like it could be possible to actually happen, which I think is part of why I really liked it. I would recommend this movie to anyone who is looking for a humorous movie to watch on Netflix.
