Are You Interested in Learning How to Cook Extremely Fast? Here's How!

Making good food can feel really time consuming at times, and can feel like it takes even longer if I am hungry. Because it is important to me to eat yummy and healthy meals as well as have time for other things, I have found some ways to make cooking faster. That way can still enjoy dinner as a family, I can feel good about what we're eating, and we can have time left to do something fun together afterwards. Below are things I do to cook extremely fast.

Set Your Workspace up for Success

I find I am much more productive when my workspace is set up well. To do this, I make sure that the table is cleared off and wiped down and everything I need is set out or easily accessible, This makes it so I have plenty of room to work and I don't have to worry about my food bumping or falling on anything yucky. By having everything I need available, I don't have to spend any time searching for things or becoming disappointed when I am out of something or a dish isn't clean.

Sharpen Your Knife

Using a sharp knife can make things quicker because the knife glides through the vegetables easier. I have an electric knife sharpener that I use and it is pretty quick and then I just have to rinse it off and wipe it down before using the knife so shavings don't get in the food. A nice thing is that knives don't need to be sharpened every time, so as long as they are sharpened every once in a while then they should be good to go. They probably cut even faster if they are some fancy super sharp knives.

Work on Your Knife Skills

Being familiar with a knife and how to properly cut things the way you intend to can speed things along. For example, I just learned how to properly dice potatoes into small pieces. I had been doing it wrong for so many years. I had just tried chopping them randomly into smaller and smaller pieces and found it took so much time. I watched a YouTube video on how to properly dice vegetables and now my diced potatoes come out so perfectly and so quickly.
