3 Adorable Behaviors: The Cute Things My Cat Does That Will Melt Your Heart

The concept of having pets is always interesting to me when I think about it. We adopt them as another family member and live with them even though we can not clearly communicate in the same language. Yet, there is clearly a mutual bond, where loneliness is experienced sometimes when the other is not around and excitement builds when you haven't seen each other for a while. For me, my cat, Annie, was my first baby. I began to raise her from the time she was tiny, taught her tricks, made her snacks, and played with her. She's small and fluffy so it's hard not to find her adorable. Below are some cute things that my cat does.

Purrs

I love it when she purrs because it shows me she is comfortable with me. Sometimes if I am watching a movie in the recliner or sleeping in bed, she will climb up on top of me, curl up in a ball, and purr. When I pet her, her eyes look so loving. However, sometimes she deceives me. Sometimes she is purring when she is laying on me so I pet her and then she tries to bite me. After that level of disrespect, I have no choice but to kick her out and think the moment was nice while it lasted.

Big Eyes

The most hilarious thing is when Annie is caught off guard by something that someone does and her eyes get big, almost like she is in disbelief of the audacity of the person who did it. It's so cute because it adds to her personality. Sometimes she does it when my husband, C, blows on her face a bunch of times, really fast. She usually ends up jumping down from wherever she was and leaving because she is annoyed. Sometimes she runs at him and tries to his him.

Zoomies

A cute thing that any cat does is get the zoomies. Annie usually doesn't do this until my son, A, goes to bed. After he is in bed, she probably loses her fear of being chased so she starts running really fast all around the house. She is really playful when she gets the zoomies. She also spreads her cat arms out and grabs the carpet, her pupils dilated. If she finds a little bouncy ball or other small item, she will hit it around the kitchen and try to catch it.
